President Obama arrived in Japan today to begin talks with Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama. This is the first of several stops that will take him through Singapore, China and South Korea to meet with fellow world leaders. Obama and Hatoyama are set to discuss the economics, climate change, non-proliferation, and the war in Afghanistan, as well as, the issue of the placement of a U.S. military base in Japan. Given China's fairly frequent interactions with North Korea recently, hopefully Obama's talks with China will rub off on the North Korean government.
