Recently, Chinese President Hu Jintao invited North Korean Leader kin Jong-il to visit China at a time of his convenience. It seems as if North Korea is reaching out to its foes and looks like it could return to nuclear talks in Beijing. Kim has said earlier this month that he would entertain disarmament talks only after he has spoken with the United States. There is a current senior North Korean nuclear envoy in the United States meeting with State Department officials. Many think that this could lead to senior US nuclear envoys visiting Pyongyang, the North Korean capital, sometime in the near future. There have been reports of US special envoy Stephen Bosworth meeting in Pyongyang in late November. After this visit, North Korea may resume six-way talks.
