The new health fad in Japan is making a trip to the local Vitamin Cafes. You can go in, sit down, read a magazine, and for $20 a nurse will insert an Intravenous (IV) drip into your blood stream. This can be used to supplement regular daily vitamin usage as a "quicker fix" people say. Celebrities such as Spice Girl Geri Halliwell and singer Robbie Williams have been known to use similar shots when touring in order to keep up stamina. The most common clients; however, are business men, who are often working late into the night and do not have much time, if any, to sleep. As with all vitamins there is a risk of taking in too many fat soluble vitamins which will stay in your for very long periods of time compared to the water soluble vitamins which are excreted through urine.
